Vision:
I envision a future in which the three dimensions of justice are consistently and actively used throughout municipal, provincial and federal governments when making decisions. Further, the three dimension of justice should also be persistently used by companies, organizations, businesses.
The three dimensions of justice are:
Distributional
Procedural
Recognitional
Values:
The values underlying this vision are recognizing unity and interconnectedness in humanity. Failure to recognize and incorporate these values into the decision-making process, at any level, be it personal, societal or government, has had detrimental affects on countries, populations and minority groups in the past.
Interventions:
By being a vocal community when we see injustices happen, we can productively combat injustices. For example, supporting social media posts that are advocating for basic human rights to be upheld and raising awareness about injustices in the community, we are contributing to social signalling action by making a private action.
Hi Curious George, your vision totally makes sense to me! All three dimensions of justice are indispensable and justice is not truly upheld within the community if either one of these three points is not achieved. You mentioned that failure to incorporate the values would be detrimental as seen from the past. Are there any previous events that brought to your mind? It would be nice if you could tell us a bit more about what "detrimental impacts" you have come across from your learnings!
The three dimensions of justice are:
Distributional
Procedural
Recognitional
Please expand upon this idea, for everyone's benefit?
Thank you,
Czarina
I agree with the standards across companies and organizations, that would definitely create a foundation to compare missions and progress. We also need to appoint who is the accountable party for injustice actions to be role models if issues are present.
Hi Curious George! I agree with your vision of the integration of the three dimensions of justice across all decision-making processes! The sharing of knowledge is so fundamental. Have you come across any examples of organizations or governments effectively implementing these dimensions?
