Hello beautiful people! I'm excited to join this community. I am writing to you from the Haldimand Tract. I am a professor in the School of Planning and Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo and before that, I spent five years at Arizona State University. Here at Waterloo, I'm part of the Future Cities Initiative and I'm keen to connect with others interested in thinking about resilient and just futures.

Welcome, Marta! So great to see you here! And welcome back to Canada!
It's wonderful to have you here, Marta! Thanks so much for your introduction. If there is ever something you're interested in sharing - such as your ideas surrounding resilient and just futures or more about the Future Cities initiative - we'd be keen to hear it.
Hi Marta.
The Future Cities Initiative looks fantastic.
Are you familiar with the Future of Small Cities Institute? Their recent webinar on the greening of small American cities was really good and could certainly be used as a framework in Canada: https://www.futureofsmallcities.org/news/the-challenge-and-opportunity-of-greening-americas-small-cities
I am thinking that a push to develop local inventories, with public involvement to raise awareness, would be a great way to initiate carbon reduction planning and action.
Wondering if you have any ideas on this.
