I have tried to get the highways minister to allow me to march a sign across Lonsdale overpass once traffic is stuck beyond it lining up for the bridge during rush hours.
On it ‘grocerytime', which is an app that works but I have shelved. It lets grocery shoppers easily use a different supermarket because it automatically matches grocery items with aisles on grocery lists so they know where to find them. It would also provide routes to North Van shops, public parks and facilities parking stalls that sit empty while cars idle on the highway.
The plan was to encourage commuters with coolers and ice packs to divert and spend an hour a week doing their weekend grocery shopping and more, here during the week in North Van. We free up weekends and remove ourselves from frequent lineups to both crossings.
The government is mute and I have few resources, I can finish the app but not promote it and could use a team. Are there drivers here who commute through NV and would try using it?
