The David Suzuki Foundation has launched its second edition of the Future Ground Prize to recognize youth community initiatives in Ontario and British Columbia that are building a green and just future. The contest includes three award categories with a top prize of $5,000 and the opportunity to virtually meet David Suzuki and Severn Cullis-Suzuki. The annual Future Ground Prize is presented by Desjardins Group and supported by Nature’s Way to celebrate and highlight stories of community champions who are generating significant impacts for their communities and the environment.
The Future Ground Prize is open for applications until this Sunday, April 10! The 15 finalists will be announced on Monday May 2. You can vote for your favourite project in all three categories from May 16 to June 13 and have a chance to win a $50 gift card and a one-year family pass for Parks Canada.
