Week 8 Journal Post

I envision a world where businesses are transparent and more vocal and honest about their ways, production and methods. As said in the lecture notes, we are responsible for our consumption but business's control how things are produced. Everyone has the right to know how companies produce their products and what environmental impacts those products have. Business transparency is extremely important in my opinion. So much corporate greed that environment and product sustainability is probably the last thing on the minds of business leaders. A possible intervention is the enforcement of ecologically responsible laws and policies that will put a halt to the bad practices and careless actions of those businesses that hide the truth about their sustainability. Increasing taxes and relevant policies to keep balance between consumerism and environment sustainability is necessary.
