Hi Amy, I agree with you that it can be confusing to have only companies that are making an effort to make changes that are more so being scrutinized about keeping these promises. I believe that all companies should be held accountable to revisiting their business model and reevaluate their where they are sourcing their materials from.

I love your post and how you used Bruce Wayne to compare to the billionaires we have in our world today. I think most definately billionaires make themselves out to seem as though they are doing their part to donate and "make the world better" but either the money they donate is not that much for them or they're using various loopholes to ensure their own gain and benefit.

Hi Sophia, I love your thought about with all majors (even business classes), to have classes that teach environmental issues and the collectivism mindset within their curriculum so that people in any and all career fields have the same morals when it comes to environmental issues.

I can understand your frustrations with the arguement about plastics and how its bad and we should ban it altogether because the discussion is there but the problem is still so prevalent. I do also agree that sometimes there is so much emphasis on plastics straws and how consumers need to buy reusable straws instead etc that it feels like "some organization" is leading us to argue about plastics. I think consumers always talking about buying resuseable waterbottles or resuable straws draws the attention to what an individual can do (private action) and not what companies and the goverment can do.

Hi Amy, I agree with you that consumers should be more educated consumer and research the companies they are consuming from. However, I also think that brings the attention more on the consumer to act when larger company action is what could make the significant difference. However, I do think that a good way to implement what you said could be to make this a part of our school ciriculum so that student from a young age are taught about mindful consumption.

Hi Arshi, I 100% agree with your point that companies and businesses should implement changes based on research and what they know is good for the environment. Frustrating how many companies know what they can do to be of less harm to the planet but don't implement these as the changes are less profitable.

Hi Helen, great post! I love what you said about how the rich should be taxed even more than the regular tax at a certain profit margin and to use that money to donate to an organization or charity or something. I also like how you included that these donations should not be decided by the person being taxed so that they don't use any "sneaky tax break".
