This fall, Raincoast Conservation Foundation, Pender Islands Conservancy, and PenderPod, are hosting a weekend full of conservation, education, restoration, and fun on S,DÁYES (Pender Islands). The EcoFair will span two days from October 22-23, 2022. Events will include restoration activities such as tree planting, guided mycology and nature walks, a silent auction, and more! Any proceeds raised throughout the weekend will support the permanent protection of KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest. We welcome participation from people of all ages! While we would love for folks to attend for fun and learning, we hope local environmental organizations might be interested in hosting an informational booth on Saturday October 22nd at the Pender Islands Community Hall from 9AM to 3PM. This is an event we are calling EcoExpo. The event will also include a "Conservation Conversation Corner" where local experts will make a brief, informal presentation, followed by an audience Q&A. If you are interested in hosting a booth as a representative of your organization you can fill out this survey or be in touch with me if you would like to host a Conversation or if you have any outstanding questions.
