ENVR 430 was the most unique class I've taken during my 3 years at UBC. I cannot believe it has already been 3 months since the first day of class, sitting in that window-less classroom, and here I am presenting my final project. It feels like this course went by so fast. At first, I took this class wanting to learn about environmental science. What is environmental science? What is there to learn about? I feel like this course not only taught me about what environmental science is but how to approach the problems we face today in a non-pressuring way. I wasn’t forced to memorize the problems but really reflect on the what, why, and how of the problems. This really helped me enjoy the class. It also taught me not just how to reflect on the problem but how to share these thoughts and ideas. Moving on from this class, I think I will be using hard conversation skills in my everyday life and also take more consideration into my consumption patterns such as clothes, water, and food and do what I can in my spot as an individual.

I agree that not having to worry about memorizing stuff made the course a super unique was to learn and reflect! I also hope to apply what I learned this term in my every day life!
