Our ENVR 430 group led a youth workshop at a weekly personal development class at Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib to engage youth regarding the environmental impacts of fast fashion. Check out these worksheets that the students completed, explaining their pledges to implement more sustainable choices as consumers when shopping for clothing! Stay tuned for our presentation coming up tomorrow in class! We'd love to hear about your favourite fast fashion brand(s) in the comments!
Here, students are brainstorming individual, class and community solutions to the fast fashion crisis!
Photograph = To Depict In Light
If a picture tells a thousand words.....

But beware of Photoshop and similar software! It can alter "the truth" captured in light using highly sophisticated photo editing software to enhance or alter photographs!
Sometimes, not everything is as it seems! Can you spot the difference between an authentic original unaltered photograph and one that is "edited", "altered", "doctored" or "enhanced"? Good examples of altered depiction of photo and moving photography or film/video are those "fun filters" on your mobile device's video camera!
My advice? Just go outside and play! Explore! Discover! Ride bikes! Enjoy Mother Nature! Dance and Enjoy Dynamic Movements! Be Good! Be Safe! Be a Good Friend! Respect your Elders! Consider the needs of others, but job number one, take good care of yourself so that others can feel less stress and worry-free! Take GOOD Care!
