Vision: for more and more incoming students to take not just ENVR 430 courses, but to try our any ENVR courses in general just for the breadth and curiosity. This was the oncoming generations can emphasize more on sustainability. Values: I think that the youth have all the power in their hands to make feasible change and progress, and mitigate the damages that have been caused by environmental negligence thus far, and believe institutions like UBC are a great place to get the journey started Interventions: For previously enrolled ENVR 430 students to spread the word about this course by word of mouth. For the students to continue with their campaigns and workshops where possible, so that our work and future visions don't just fizzle out.

This image made me so sad :( it reminded me of wildlife pictured to incorporate plastics into their lives via substitution of natural products in harmful ways. Totally agree on holding the producers accountable for all fees involved in recycling/ supporting the plastic recycling circular economy.

Thank you for your input, I really agree. I hate the feeling of looking all around and feeling guilty, while powerless at the same time. I hope that our voices are enough to rally for the action of lawmakers in the near future

Totally agreed! It always has to do with the appeal of cheap manufacturing and maximizing profits and I don't feel like it will stop anytime soon. I do appreciate there being role models on the market as you suggest however.

I truly agree! consumers aren't going to slow down consumption rates, even I cannot promise that to myself because as a user there just don't seem to be enough alternatives which is saddening

Thank you for your comments I really do agree. It should be as simple as removing the problem by banning the creation of it, but at the same time since it makes up almost everything we have around us it would require so much dedication and investment of time/ priority that influential figures just don't seem to care enough for :(

Hi Amy- I totally agree, that businesses not only have to, but should care! Specifying laws to prevent loopholes is definitely a big one that we have to pay more attention to.

Hey Jinny! Everyone absolutely has the right to transparency and knowing how companies produce their products- although when it comes down to changing one's routine products, I wonder how much people will truly change. I like the unique approach you stated as an intervention!
