Hi! I love how you talk about the specific example of fire and how without this course we would have just believed that uncontrolled fires lead to extreme degradation of biodiversity for the rest of our lives.

Thanks for you reflection! I agree that one of the most meaningful takeaways from this class is learning how to have hard conversations with people. It may be hard at first but once you start, it is one of the most interesting and meaningful conversations you will have.

I agree that the pre-lecture videos really helped us further understand the lecture content so that we werent going in as a blank state!

Great post! As a person taking ENVR 430, trying so hard to make interventions to give back to the earth, not only should we be working to live sustainability, we should also be able to make sustainable interventions even after death!

Hello! I was unaware that burial and cremation were the only LEGAL methods of body disposal in BC. As a person living in BC, attending UBC, and taking this course, that is horrific news. We advertise ourselves as being "green" but laws that enforce the non-ecological ways of death care? This is shocking. We really must raise awareness of green death technologies. We've got a long way to go!! Thanks for sharing!
