Personally, I think the point of this class is to take a dialectical view of environmental sustainability because each individual action has a ripple effect on the environment, and I like the freedom of expression and reflection in this class.

I think all companies are struggling to quantify the return on their sustainability investments, and what matters most to entrepreneurs is that a sustainable strategy of inaction may mean greater losses in the future. Failure to find a profitable strategy only leads these companies to produce a vague, unfocused sustainability plan.

I totally agree with your idea! A strong sustainability proposition can help a company explore new markets and expand into existing ones, and not having a sustainability strategy means losing a lot of good employees.

I think cheating the law and avoiding taxes through charity is a way to hinder social sustainability and business sustainability for people who own assets they created, who rely on the external and often fabricated market value of their assets, and report that value for deductions.
