As much as the populations are suffering, on the other hand, social media and news corporation are hungry for those attention-grabbing posts and many comes with great biases which create even more doubt and lack of trust in our society.

Hi Gunkaar, I agree that we should normalized prescribe fires to effectively control super fires from happening. However, resources, governance, and politics are just some of many barriers we must overcome in our society. I hope we have more measures to protect the environment and the vulnerable populations.

Hi Hunter, I also acknowledge that natural fire is not from out fault and that we must find ways around this unavoidable misfortune to happen. Letting fire burn freely may sound like a strategy to shift our worries and conserve resources but what about the ecosystems and forests inhabitants if we don't interfere?

Therefore, we need more authorities to step up and designing more measures to keep the general public scientifically informed so they can have a clear perspective and support the environmental efforts.

Hello, I understand the struggles and unfairness for those people who experienced hardships with forest fires. We can definitely need to reflect on our actions, especially those who neglected rules and safety because this fire issue is concerning lives and homes of many communities. Hello Hunter, this approach of urban farming would have been more sustainable if our society could decrease the need for non-local products. Unfortunately, this is not very practical as our life standard is constantly raised higher. Therefore reforming policy should consider this approach.

I definitely agree that supporting veganism correlates to benefits for good health and the environment and the emphasis on not forcing the need for everyone to become a vegan in order to benefit our planet.

Hi Anya, amazing picture! I love to see farming in applications as such in real life. I also noticed that in order to implement sustainable farming, there is definitely the trade-off of high resource allocation and lots of effort in planning. This comes back to the point of rewilding in agriculture mentioned in the lecture that it's possible to intervene but our social component is impeding this change because everything is centred around the budget aspect, unfortunately.

I agree with the standards across companies and organizations, that would definitely create a foundation to compare missions and progress. We also need to appoint who is the accountable party for injustice actions to be role models if issues are present.

I love your accompanying graphic and I can easily visualize the obvious impact in just one year period. I think the idea for innovative technology to use less water is cool but do you think there will be some externalities accompany that?

I agree with the consultation of First Nations People regarding policies and the decision-making process. It would be nice if they could become tour guides in their territory to make additional income because of their immense knowledge and cultural influence for the sake of tourism and trade-offs.

Hi Michelle! We definitely should not take granted our natural resources but many people cannot imagine the ecosystem's significance due to not experiencing nor being aware of how it impacts their lives. We should implement more policies to encourage recognition of our ecosystem's intrinsic value.

Thank you for bringing this perspective on the equality of species in the ecosystem. Unfortunately, people only preserve well-known species or natural elements in general due to our economic attachment. Nowadays we are starting to make more effort to preserve rare and endangered species, hopefully, there's more funding and dedication to raise public awareness!

Hi Michelle, I totally agree with your perspective that we cannot fix problems without being on the same page and having the same foundations of knowledge. We ignore the negative effects of our ecosystem simply because it was not imprinted in or taught principles when we were growing up.

Yes! Education and encouragement are keys to spreading awareness and raising the voice on behalf of our deserving Indigenous communities. Initiating meaningful conversations might still be a challenge in our daily lives but we definitely can practice and allow more trust to build up.

I agree with your progress initiation to apply charges for the luxury-oriented use of water. This is the sole problem for sustainability, it happens because socioeconomic status provides advantages for uneven use of resources on the planet without thinking about the possible outcomes for humanity.
